As Campus Director Justine has a holistic oversight of the student experience in Manchester and Liverpool as well as working towards raising our external profile, creating industry links and opportunities across the region. Following an early industry career in human resources in the health and social care sector, Justine has over 20 years’ experience across further and higher education. A Senior Fellow of Advance HE, Justine has an extensive background in leadership and management education and is passionate about delivering operational excellence and building strong regional partnerships.
Law
Nigel has been the Programme Lead for the Bar Practice Course at the Manchester and Liverpool campuses since 2021. He updates designs for some BPC advocacy workshops and designs oral assessments. He particularly enjoys teaching Case Analysis as it underpins the whole course. Called to the Bar in 1994, he began his career with the Crown Prosecution Service before moving to Chambers in Manchester in 2000, prosecuting and defending criminal cases. Nigel’s first book was Life as a Junior Barrister. His new book The Skills of Modern Advocacy (with Jaime Hamilton KC) is published by Routledge in Winter 2026.
Kellie is a Programme and Student Lead for undergraduate law students at the Manchester Campus. She previously worked as a solicitor dealing with residential and commercial property transactions at a high street firm where she was also a director. Land law is Kellie’s favourite subject to teach. It's complexity and historic foundations make it challenging, but she enjoys helping students unravel it and better understand how it operates in the real world.
Elizabeth is a LPC and SQE Programme and Student Lead and Senior Lecturer at 91桃色 and oversees the running of these programmes at the Manchester & Liverpool campuses. She studied law at The University of Warwick before completing her LPC at The College of Law (as was). She undertook her training contract with a medium-sized firm in Shropshire, and qualified as a solicitor in 2015. Elizabeth gained practice experience in both family law and private client during her six years in practice post-qualification. Elizabeth’s favourite subject to teach is SQE1 Wills & the Administration of Estates as she enjoys sharing her practice experience in this area, and bringing the subject to life.
Niall is the Programme and Student Lead for the postgraduate academic and vocational law programmes at Manchester and Liverpool and National Module Lead for the Dissertation in Law. As well as being a member of the Research Ethics Committee and the Academic Quality and Standards Policy Review Subcommittee. Niall is a qualified (non-practising) Barrister with over 30 years’ experience of Education Leadership and Management. His main interests are Tort Law, Medical Law and Ethics, Dissertation Research, Media, Defamation and Privacy Law, and Artificial Intelligence.
In addition to his role as a Senior Lecturer at the University, Mark is a Programme and Student Lead for the LPC and SQE programmes at the Manchester and Liverpool campuses. Prior to joining the University in October 2017, Mark was a former solicitor and worked in private practice for almost ten years, specialising in civil litigation, in particular landlord and tenant matters. Mark enjoys teaching Property Practice on the SQE1 Preparation Course and several of the practical legal skills from the SQE2 Preparation Course as it allows him to share his experience from practice with students.
Rachel is a Programme and Student lead for undergraduate students at the Manchester Campus. Prior to working at 91桃色 she worked in the Counter Fraud Team in Keoghs LLP and Weightmans LLP. This involved working for insurance companies and investigating and defending potential fraudulent Road Traffic Accident claims. Rachel also worked at Stephensons Solicitors LLP assisting with personal injury claims. She enjoys teaching a wide range of subjects and modules, including Tort Law, Access to Justice, Criminal Law and Civil Dispute Resolution.
Business
Josh is a Business School Programme and Student Lead. He ensures the student experience is a positive one, alongside overseeing the design and delivery of MSc programmes. Josh has lectured in a variety of subjects across multiple institutions and, during an interlude in his academic career, worked as a civil servant for the Department for Work and Pensions. He studied a PhD at Leeds Trinity University and The University of Leeds, graduating in 2018. Josh particularly enjoys teaching modules focused on, or related to, business ethics, primarily because this is an important topic in the contemporary moment.

In addition to providing guidance and support, they coordinate both university-wide and local campus events that foster a strong sense of belonging, support well-being and enhance student engagement. They also offer on-the-day support for assessment activities, ensuring students receive timely assistance when it matters most.
